Slow Scent® Natural Perfumery Workshop at 19 Hands in Berkeley
Learn the foundations and techniques of natural perfumery in this two-and-a-half-hour introductory class, taught by Jess Mennella, using the Slow Scent® method developed by renowned perfumer Mandy Aftel. Held in Berkeley, this unique workshop offers an inside look at the basic structure of Slow Scent® perfume formulation and blending techniques. Explore a range of natural materials, learn how to build a perfume, and begin to understand how scent captures memory and emotion. By the end of the class, you will create your own signature perfume using a formula you design yourself, a scent you’ll take home as both a creation and a keepsake. This workshop is priced at $150pp and all materials are included.

Slow Scent® Natural Perfumery Workshop at Nimbus Arts in Napa
Learn the foundation and techniques of natural perfumery in this two-and-a-half-hour introductory class based on the Slow Scent® method developed by renowned perfumer Mandy Aftel. Create your own unique formula from 18 botanicals whose scent complexity is linked directly to the flowers from which they are derived. Learn the basic structure of Slow Scent® natural perfume formulation and blending techniques. By the end of the workshop, you will have created your signature perfume using the formula you developed in class. Whether you are new to natural perfumery or have attended previous workshops, you are welcome to join! Attendees must be 15 and up. All materials will be provided.
